Apia’s Customer Response Team, a mobile claims and assessment unit, is now operational in Charlestown and ready to assist customers affected by the severe storms and floods that have struck the NSW coast.

Located at the Apia Charlestown Branch at 25 Pearson St, Charlestown, the Customer Response Team (CRT) is a fully self-sufficient mobile office which allows Apia customers to lodge claims in person and access services including emergency funds and temporary accommodation.

Apia spokesperson, Angela Wilkinson said: “Having a CRT unit and claims staff on the ground in affected areas allows customers to commence the claim process even if they are still without power or telecommunications.”

“We understand that these are very challenging times for many residents whose homes and property have been significantly damaged by the wild weather.

“Our priority at this time is the safety of our customers, but to also help residents begin rebuilding their lives as quickly as possible,” she said.

If customers cannot get to the CRT, they are encouraged to lodge claims online at to avoid call queues. Apia’s call centre is also available 24 hours a day on 13 50 50.
