Apia Apartment Style Residence Insurance covers your household items that you own or are responsible for and use primarily for domestic purposes, such as home computers, unfixed electrical appliances, furniture and clothing. It can also include the fittings in your apartment if the fittings are not legally part of the apartment building according to the relevant state or territory law. These could include lino installed in the apartment, floating wooden floors, ducted or split system air conditioners for the sole use of the apartment owner or occupier.

If you have contents stored in a commercial storage facility, Apia Apartment Style Residence Insurance will cover loss or damage to these contents due to an insured event, provided the storage facility is lockable, only accessible by you or someone authorised by you, and is fully enclosed by walls, floor and a roof.

An 'Unoccupied excess' applies if at the time of the incident covered by your policy, the apartment was unoccupied for more than 60 continuous days. Sometimes you might have to pay more than one type of excess.

When you have an Apia Apartment Style Residence Insurance policy, your visitors’ contents are covered up to $2,000 for loss or damage to their contents due to an insured event. Visitors’ contents are covered if they are staying with you up to 30 consecutive days.
