Apia, the leading insurance provider for over 50s, is urging policyholders affected by the recent wild weather in Perth to contact its 24 hour telephone service, 13 50 50, for assistance.
Apia spokesperson David Skapinker, said the company had its Claims Assist call centre staff ready to help residents lodge their claims after the storms that battered the region over the past week.
“Many people have been affected by the strong winds and heavy rain – and we urge them to contact us as soon as possible,” Mr Skapinker said.
“Customers can lodge claims anytime by calling 13 50 50.”
Mr Skapinker said it was still too early to tell how many claims would be lodged as a result of Perth’s wild weather, but the company was urging customers who notice any damage – to their vehicle or home – to contact their insurer as soon as possible to get their repair process underway.
“Our priority is to meet the immediate needs of our customers who have been affected by the recent weather in and around Perth.
“By contacting us now, we can start the claims process immediately and ensure the quickest path to recovery for our customers.”
