Today Apia has opened an additional Customer Response Team for the Newcastle-Hunter region to provide added support to customers affected by last week's storms and floods.
Located in Maitland at Shop 1/378 High St the Customer Response Team (CRT) is a fully self-sufficient mobile claims unit which allows Apia customers to lodge claims in person and access services including emergency funds and temporary accommodation. It will be open from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Apia spokesperson, Angela Wilkinson said: “Having a Customer Response Team on the ground allows customers to start the claim process even if they are still without power or telecommunications.”
“Our customers are going through what is a very traumatic time for many people and we are dedicated to ensuring we are there for them to help rebuild their lives however we can.
“Our Customer Response Team is how we start that process and we will remain in the region as long as we are needed,” she said.
If customers cannot get to the CRT, they are encouraged to lodge claims online at www.apia.com.au to avoid call queues. Apia’s call centre is also available 24 hours a day on 13 50 50.
