Apia has won the award for Most Recommended Brand in the Property Insurance and Motor Insurance categories at the Engaged Marketing Awards 2014/15.
This is the fifth time in a row that Apia has taken out the accolade for most recommended brand in the property insurance category, and the third time it has won in the motor insurance category.
The Engaged Marketing Awards for Most Recommended Brand is based on the votes of more than six thousand Australian consumers about their experience with insurers and how likely they are to recommend the brand they’re using under the Net Promoter Score framework.
According to Engaged Marketing, Apia was well above the property insurance industry average with a Net Promoter Score of 17 per cent. This was also reflected in the motor insurance category, with Apia receiving a score of 10 per cent.
Apia Brand Manager, Travis Hughes, said the insurer had worked hard to represent the varying and individual needs of Australians aged over 50.
“We are thrilled to have secured the top industry position for the fifth consecutive year, but we also know that establishing and maintaining customer loyalty is something we must continue to focus on,” he said.
“We’ve implemented a range of initiatives specifically tailored to the over 50s life stage, including the recently launched Apia Private Health Insurance as well as always offering our customers the ability to speak to an Apia representative 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
“At Apia the people that matter most to us are our customers, so we would like to thank them for making Apia the number one choice for property and motor insurance. It means a lot to us.”
