Purchasing insurance online:
1. What are the steps for purchasing insurance online?
To obtain a quote or purchase a policy online, simply click on the policy type you’re interested in and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have the quote, you can elect to purchase the policy online or save it for future use.

2. How do I access my quotes and insurance online?
To view your existing quotes and insurance policies, simply register for online insurance access. If you’re already registered, simply click on the "My Insurance" button from the welcome screen. You’ll automatically register if you obtain and save a quote online or you can register now by clicking here.
3. How long will it take to get my policy documents?
Once you’ve purchased your policy online, your policy documents, including the product disclosure statement and policy wording and your policy schedule should be received within 5 business days.
Maintaining my Insurance:
1. I need to change the details of my insurance. What do I do?
To change the details of an existing policy you need to 'login' to view your existing insurance portfolio (see Question 2 above) and click on the "amend" button for the policy you wish to change. Alternatively, changes can be made over the phone by calling 13 50 50.

Lodging a Claim:
1. What do I do if I need to make a claim?
If you need to make a claim you need to notify us by phone as soon as you can on 13 50 50. Once you’ve let us know by phone you may be required to visit one of our branches but in most cases we can handle your claim over the phone. Please make sure you have your Policy documents to hand when you call.
Passwords, Security & Your Confidentiality
1. Is my application for insurance secure?
Yes, your application is sent directly to Australian Alliance Insurance and is safeguarded by a secure encrypted line.
2. What can I do if I've forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten your password, simply call us on 13 50 50 and ask for your password to be re-set. You will be required to answer several privacy questions to prove your identity.
3. Are my personal details shared with other companies?
We respect the privacy of your personal information and will prevent unauthorised access to the information you provide us with.
Paying For Your Insurance
1. What payment options are available for purchasing insurance?
You can pay for your insurance using your MasterCard or Visa Card or by Direct Debit from your bank account. Please note that for one-off Travel Insurance policies, payment can be made by credit card only.
2. How secure will the payment details be?
Your payment details are sent directly to Australian Alliance Insurance and are safeguarded by a secure encrypted line. Also, your Credit Card or Bank Account details will not be shown on your insurance summary screen.
3. I logged onto Apia's My Insurance to pay for a quote that I obtained from Apia over the phone, but I cant see this in My Insurance, why?
Only quotes generated via the website can be viewed online. If you wish to pay for insurance that was initiated over the phone, please contact us on 13 50 50. Once you have arranged payment of this insurance you will be able to view and manage it online via Apia's My Insurance.

1. What is the relationship between Australian Alliance Insurance and Australian Pensioners Insurance?
Australian Alliance Insurance Company Limited (AAI) is authorised by Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) to carry on insurance business pursuant to the Insurance Act 1973.
AAI is also the holder of an Australian Financial Securities License (AFSL) issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to provide financial product advice in respect of general insurance products.
Australian Pensioners Insurance Agency Limited is an Authorised Representative and wholly owned subsidiary of AAI, and acts as AAI's agent under an authority given to it by AAI to enter into contracts of insurance on behalf of AAI as insurer, and deal with and settle claims on behalf of AAI.
