Features & Benefits:

  • Automatic acceptance
Anyone aged 45 -75 (inclusive), who is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and residing in Australia at the time of application and have received the PDS in Australia, is able to buy Apia Funeral Insurance.
  • No medicals or complicated forms
Buy online in under 5 minutes - there are no health questions. All we need to know is your age, gender and how much cover you'd like. It's that simple.
  • Your choice of cover
Select a cover amount between a minimum $5000 to $15,000 (maximum for Level premium) and $30,000 (maximum for Stepped premium). There are no restrictions on how this money can be spent
  • Choose to fix your price
Like most types of life insurance, the cost of Funeral insurance typically increases each year as you age. This is what’s known as a 'Stepped' premium. With Apia Funeral Insurance, we offer you the choice to fix your premium so that it doesn’t increase as a result of your age. We call this a ‘Level’ premium.
If you choose level premiums, ongoing premiums will not increase each year as a direct result of your age, but will increase due to any increase in your sum insured.  The level premium can also increase if the premium is increased for all policyholders. A level premium helps to give you security as you know how much you need to budget.
  • Quick & easy claims process
To make a claim just call 1800 608 549 - access to payment is usually within 2 business days from an approved claim.
  • No premiums from age 85
Unless cover stops earlier, your policy has no expiry date and there are no premiums once you turn 85.
  • Single and joint policies available
Purchase a joint policy and you may be eligible to receive a 20% discount on premiums for the life of the policy.
  • Choose to receive an early payout if you're terminally ill
If diagnosed with a terminal illness after continuously holding your policy for 12 months, you may be eligible to receive an early payment, to spend how you choose for example to help arrange your financial affairs.
  • Receive a FREE Will Kit
Buy a policy today and choose whether you'd like to also receive a free Will Kit to help get your affairs in order.
